The students choosing their higher studies course isgoing to be a big challenge nowadays. This application helps the students witha guidance and tips to move forward clearly with their vision and accomplishtheir goals. The core idea of research project is to implement Android basedapplication which gives course guidance and an ideal tips for the students whohad completed their higher secondary and willing to step for higher studies.The proposed project will be implemented for different fields of educational coursesand gives its guidance, vast number of courses in engineering,medical,arts andscience,law & management are included using Android applications. It alsohelps to cover the courses of another non familiar fields like marine, defence and its training institutes.This application provides details about competitive examination and otherentrance exams like JEE,NEET along with its syllabus, pattern etc.and displays itsrequired eligibility criteria for the people who appear for that exam.

Several professional undergraduate and postgraduate courses areoffered by noted institutes as well as various private institutes. Thedifferent streams of education in which the colleges or institutes offers thosecourses. With development of this Android application the student preferred touse mobile devices as technology supported educational tool.2.Androidtutorials learning from tutorials point. This system is designed for thestudents of higher secondary.
After the completion of higher secondary choosinga stream for further study is a complicated challenge for the students. Somewill choose the course blindly under the influence of friends or parents.Giving priority to their potential and interest it should be the sole criteriafor selecting a career. This system helps for the students to overcome fromtheir confused state and make them to clear with the course. Theapplication which gives the completeview about various streams of education like engineering, medical, arts and science,law & management along with different colleges, unfamiliar fields ofcourses, competitive exams, common entrance exam pattern etc.
which are unitedto different modules in single application. This system enables the student toaware about the course and reduces the complexity of searching the courses invarious websites.9.
The NEET 2018 exam details are collected.Smartphones are based on operating systems like blackberry, IOS and Android. Todesign proposed project, smart phones with Android operating system are chosenbecause penetration rate of Android OS is 70 percent.1 Used for thedevelopment of android application. Theapplication is compatible with all Android versions ranging from Gingerbread2.
3to Lollipop 5.0.1 so that students who cannot afford to buy high end mobilesand institutes located in remote, rural area can also take to avail the advantageof this application.II.VARIOUS COURSEGUIDANCE WAYSFollowingare the ways to get a guidance about the courses1.via websitesItis the complex way for the students to search for each and every courses byusing different links. It is inefficient because the complexity is high duringsurfing and some information may be different from other.
2.TNEA manual procedureCandidateswho participates in Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) for admissions in B.E/B.TECH may download bookletwhich contains information about courses and colleges as shared by AnnaUniversity. The courses indicated in this booklet are based on the affiliationof university and AICTE approval.
This contains a paperback and the process togo through is a difficult task for the students.It consumes more time anddetails in this brochure contains less. 3.Educational exhibition Itfacilitates thousands of students to make the right choice towards highereducation that is educational exhibition. It is organized by the sponsorship ofvarious colleges along with the media support. More than 100 stalls of variouseducation institutions are on display in the exhibition. Further, manyexpertise in the field of education are sharing their views to students showingthe right path towards higher education. The education expertise provide allinformation including the course to opt after higher secondary ,approximatecost incurred towards the studies,the job opportunities available after completionof the studies and many more.
It has a one to one interaction. The benefits from this kind ofexhibition cannot be avail to all. Students from remote places cannot be ableto visit the educational exhibition.
It is not sure that the lectures given bythe experts can be reach to all.Allthe above systems are time consuming and inefficient. In the proposed projectAndroid based course guidance designed which is less time consuming, and easyto clear with the ideas.III.BLOCKDIAGRAM OF PROPOSED SYSTEM Fig 1.Block diagramWiththe proposed system shown in Figure.
1It acts as a guidance to choose their career invarious fields after 12th.It analyses various degree courses basedon students higher secondary group.The details about various streams likeengineering ,medical ,arts and law is explained and displayed.
The applicationalso provides information in fields of Marine, Defence, Fashion & Designand other entrance test and exams.The details about competitive exams like UPSCexams and Bank exam is explained.IV.RESEARCH ELABORATIONS Students /users Students can be able to avail allthose details in a application.
It is more useful for the people who preparingfor a competitive exams. V.SYSTEMDESIGNThe entire system consist of A.Guidance moduleThismodule is to provide basic guidance about to various streams of study.It gives the students a clear ideaabout higher studies.
B.EngineeringModuleThismodule is to provide list of engineering courses that government offers and what are the courses availablein engineering colleges10.This provides the list of engineering colleges intamilnadu.
It gives instructions about TamilNadu Engineering Admission(TNEA)counselling procedure to apply and rules to be followed.It provides detailsabout JEE main and JEE advanced exam pattern. C.Medical module Thismodule provides list of all medical courses available for highersecondary students in medical stream.The details about NEET UG-a singleentrance examination to get admission to the MBBS course in all medicalcolleges in India In addition,it gives details in other fields of medical sciences like Dentistry,Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Veterinary Science and Homeopathy.9D.OthermoduleThis is todisplay what are the courses available in commerce and arts.
It lists out some fields of courses like Law& management, Marine & Defence, Fashion & design and Humanities & Social Science.This moduleto provide details about competitive exams like TNPSC,IAS,UPSC etc..VI.TECHNICAL STEPS· Setting up environment on own machine.
This phaseinvolves installation of Java JDK, JRE, Android SDK.· Creation of GUI / Main Forms/ Sub Forms and createactivities linked with each other.· Android App Test setup process-Run .
