The leader I mostadmire as a team is the legendary Sir Robert William Robson, or known to mostas Sir Bobby Robson. I have chosen him because even after death, his legacystill remains, along with his charitable work that continues to aid in thetreatment of cancer.
Sir Bobby Robson was not only well respected and admiredin football, but also as an individual whose enthusiasm, exuberance and overalllove for life adhered him to all (BBC Sport, 2009). He was born on 18 February 1933 in CountyDurham. He enjoyed a long and successful playing and managerial career spanningalmost six decades. He battled cancer on five occasions. In 2008 he establishedthe ‘Sir Bobby Robson Foundation’. At the age of 76, in 2008 he was died afterlong battle with cancer (ChronicleLive, 2009).Professional career Hebegan his playing career in 1950 for Fulham FC and made 20 appearances forEngland scoring four goals.Managerial careerRobson made his debut as a manager in 1968 at his former clubFulham.
