There is a lot of history behind the sport, which adds to itsimportance in the countries.   The history of futbol traces back to1800, when the sport first arrived. Soccer first came to South America at theport of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where European sailors came. The sportdeveloped very early. “Members of the British Community formed the first club,the Buenos Aires Football Club (FC) in 1867” In 1893, the first Argentinean leaguechampionship was played.
