I commend to you with great enthusiasm, Prem Chand with AAMC ID: # 13940122 as an exceptionally qualified candidate for your Internal Medicine Residency Program. He is currently working as an extern in the Pulmonary/Critical care Service and Internal Medicine Department at North Shore University-Long Island Jewish Forrest Hills Hospital, New York since Dec 1st, 2017 till present.  Prem has been a great asset to the team with his depth of medical knowledge and passion to learn.  He has demonstrated excellent clinical skills, strong clinical judgment, and critical thinking ability. He has a keen interest in various facets of patient care plan during in-patient visit while giving equal importance to continuity of care post discharge. Prem attended morning reports, noon conferences, and medical ward rounds and has dealt with a variety of patients with different diseases and comorbidities related to Internal Medicine and pulmonology, procedures like bronchoscopy and pulmonary biopsy. He also assisted to my private’s offices and looked the procedures performed there, writing patient consults and progress notes in both environments. He consistently arrived early to review patient charts using EMR system and interacted with residents as an integral team member.

On a personal note, Prem is a genuine and caring person with a pleasant personality. His positive disposition and humbleness are infectious. He is always ready to give helping hand and working very well with the other residents and staff. Prem has enormous potential as a medical professional. The entire staff will miss his humbleness and positive attitude. He is very focused and determined in his professional work.

I highly recommend Prem as a superb candidate for your Residency Training Program knowing that he will perform highly among the top of his residency class because he exemplifies the true meaning of care. I wish our program would sponsor visas so that he could stay with our Internal Medicine Program but unfortunately we don’t. Please do not hesitate to contact me at (718-637-3570), if you need to and thank you for giving him the courtesy of an interview.
