ChrisKyle once said, “I’m trying to raise awareness of the troops that, when theydeploy and go to war, it’s not just them at war – it’s also their family.  Their family is having to go through all ofthe hardships and the stresses.”  Thesecond that a soldier leaves their family and home, there is a chance that theywill never return.  This is very hard tothink about, so just imagine how the family members feel when they are put inthis situation.

The soldiers risk theirlives for our freedoms, and many of them have families.  So, what they do to protect the citizens ofthe United States, which many they do not even know, is truly remarkable. ChrisKyle describe these hardships in a book he has written called American Sniper.  Many people realize the hardships thatsoldiers go through when they deploy, but many people do not think about thefamilies that have to deal with the same pain.             Chris Kyle and his family wentthrough this because he served ten years in the military.  In the non-fiction, autobiography called American Sniper, Chris Kyle describeshis time at war, but also discusses how hard it was on his wife, kids, andfamily back at home.

In the book, hedescribes that it was very hard for Taya, his wife, to endure the hardshipsthat she went through when he first joined the military.  At the beginning of his career, Chris hadvery little contact with his wife while he was overseas. When he returned homeafter his first deployment, Taya noticed that Chris was angrier thanusual.  She was also pregnant with theirfirst baby boy at the time and gives birth to him right before Chris leaves forIraq again.  She began to get very upsetbecause she had to deal with a son by herself and had to worry about Chris atthe same time.  So, even though Chris wasoverseas getting bullets shot at him, Taya was at home being a single motherthat had to work a full-time job and did not even get to see her husband formonths at a time.

Chris returns once again;Him and his wife start to have marital problems because he was planning ongoing on another tour to Iraq.  She eventold him that if he does so, she will know that he likes it better than beinghome with his wife and children.  Chrisstill goes back into the military with Taya being pregnant again and has anemergency C-section a few days before he goes back.  Now, Taya had to take care of two children, work a full-time job, and worry about Chris because he had a bounty on his headin Iraq for being one of the deadliest snipers.

All of these struggles that she had to face proved that family membersserve in the military too.            Chris Kyle finally decided to leavethe military in 2009 and start living a normal life with his wife and two youngchildren.  It was not as easy as hethought it would be though because he started drinking a lot, quit exercising, and spent less time with his family. Chris was a sniper for the Navy SEALs who was credited with 160confirmed kills and given the title “The deadliest sniper in United StatesMilitary History.

”  It was very hard forhim to conform back into the everyday civilian lifestyle because he was justnot used to it. After a while of being home, he finally got his acttogether.  He started writing a bookabout his and his families experiences during and after his time at war.  This, along with other things, really helpedhim with his life back at home.  In hisbook, Chris states that it was not the people he killed that haunted him. Hestated that, “My regrets are for the people I couldn’t save.”  Most of the soldiers that join the UnitedStates Military are told to not share their experiences with the public becausemost of it was too brutal.  Chris decidedto ignore this because he thought it was his duty to inform the public whatsoldiers and their families go through while off at war.

He also started a fewof his own companies that helped Veteran’s in there time back from war getinvolved in a variety of different things.            One of the things that he did tomake an impact was take soldier’s that were suffering from PTSD to the shootingrange to blow off some steam.  He hadstarted this right when he got out of the military and continued to do it forthree years because it was helping him, along with all of the guys that he tookshooting at the range.  One day, thingswere different though because the Veteran suffering from PTSD that Chris Kyleand his friend took to the range ended up killing both of them.  The whole country was hurt by this because weknew how much of a hero Chris was, and all he was trying to do was help someother Veteran’s going through the same thing that he was.

There was even a movie created after ChrisKyle, also called American Sniper, that depicts the struggles that Chris and his family go through. The story of Chris Kyle and hisfamily describes how the soldiers go through an extremely hard time, but so dothe families.  Many people realize whatthe soldiers do for our countries, which is great, but they also need torealize what the families of those soldiers go through.  The everyday wars that the family membershave to face is not even easy to think about, so just imagine going throughlosing your loved ones.  These familiesneed to know that they have the support of the American people because they areheroes too for having to deal with all the pain and suffering that comes alongwith having a loved one that serves in the military.  That was Chris’ main goal when he started towrite his book, and he definitely achieved that goal.

Now that he is gone, many of his family membersare trying to spread the same message that he was, and they were very pleasedon how the movie was depicted over him.
