Abortion always wrong, while some say it maybe sometimes

Abortion is when a pregnancy is ended so that it does not result in the birth of a child. Some people argue that abortion is always wrong, while some say it maybe sometimes right. As far as I am concerned, I believe that it is only morally accepted when the mother is risking her life. Some says that abortion is unethical as we have no rights to conduct abortion, they believe that the foetus has the right to life because it is a “potential human being”, and almost same rights as actual beings. Nothing will happen by probability, every sentient being has it’s right to subsistence. Not only the rights, but abortion also violate many religion’s dogma. There is no difference between removing a newborn life and killing someone. According to the “Golden Rule”, conducting abortion will cause retribution to people in concern. “Golden Rule” is an ethical moral principle that believes people should aim to treat each other as they would like to treat each other as they would to be treated themselves. For personally, I strongly believe in karma and reincarnation, if you killed a being it will cause you bad deed. In many places, abortion is illegal, it is only allowed in certain circumstances. Several societies had banned abortion completely and there are many reasons for abortion are because of the unprepared pregnancy, which makes having a child a crisis for one’s. I only agree abortion to this extend where after the mother have done ultrasound details scan and realize the foetus are unhealthy – serious disability or have a low chance of survival as well as when some serious medical problem where the pregnancy risks the life or health of the mother and when when the mother can not support the child financially and emotionally. It is undoubtedly that there are women who are raped and become pregnant, but base on karma and reincarnation, abortion is still not ethically accepted.Yet not everyone does accept the theory of the foetus having the right to life. As in women’s rights, women have a moral right to decide what to do with their bodies as abortion may cause damage to long term physical and emotional health of one’s who have an abortion. Philosopher Judith Jarvis Thomson once mentioned “If abortion rights are denied, then a constraint is imposed on women’s freedom to act in a way that is of great importance to them”. If we think through abortion through utilitarianism, I believe that it is morally allowed. Utilitarians believe that the purpose of morality is to make life better by increasing good things and decreasing bad thing in the world. Foetus is not a part therefore it does not affect the society/ world. For women facing crisis because of the foetus should suffer from intangible pain and unhappiness which increase the “bad things” in the society. For the beneficial of the society, abortion would be allowed in this case. As mentioned above, I still strongly believe that it is only morally accepted when the mother is risking her life or facing any crisis, abortion is then morally accepted and be available on the demand.
